It has rained almost EVERY day we’ve been in Georgia. It is muddy, wet and pretty gross. But today, a ray of sunshine brought a refreshing delight of happiness to us all! Here’s Amos enjoying his tire toy….he has come such a long way…so much so he doesn’t need his leash all of the time.
Starting off the New Year right…with family! Also, thank you all who wrote, encouraged and prayed for us often in 2011. We had a terrific year and can only thank the Lord for what He has done. I hope to write more later as to what we’ve been up to….but for now….HAPPY NEW YEAR
After a sweet time in Clovis we headed to Stillwater OK for Thanksgiving. We are in-between meetings at this point. We enjoyed a few short days with Pastor and Mrs Hardy and their family. This included Thanksgiving where we had an awesome meal! If you know me at all you know that this is my absolute FAVORITE holiday of the year. Certainly missed family but this had to be the next best thing to me. Such a sweet time. They even braved my cooking (Mac-n-cheese and Sweet Potato Fluff). So far, nobody’s sick…..at least not hospitalized!
I just love the name of this town ; ). Cracks me up. We are headed to Westbrook Baptist Church, Clovis, NM under Pastor Furgus Tunnell. We will be having an 8 day revival meeting here. Please pray for us.
I can’t believe almost a month has gone by since my last post. CRAZY busy is how to describe the last several weeks. We had the privilege of being a part of a Revival/Missions conference at Bethany Baptist Church, Lubbock, TX with Pastor Aaron Denson. Incredible! I LOVE real, live missionaries! Love them! We met some going to Minnesota, the great Western US, South Sudan and Saudi Arabia. Praise the Lord for these families. The church took such detailed care of each of us that it was overwhelming. I never feel like I express my gratitude properly to each of them! We are so thankful for the week and for what the Lord has done and is doing under the direction of Pastor Denson! There has been evident growth under his tutelage.
Well, our meeting is underway here in Farmington, NM at College Heights Baptist Church (Pastor Burson Corley). We had a tremendous attendance Sunday AM. The Lord blessed as Billy preached the first half of ‘Just Like Jacob’. It was very good and timely. Tonight was unbelievable as well. God truly met with us in a sweet way. So good to be back with friends and family. Wow, God is so good to allow us to be here in Farmington again. (Sure wish Matthew, Jessica and Eliana could be here!…..we had a great roast meal at Grandma Corley’s on Sunday!!! and it was good to see Brian and his family again…we are their neighbors this week!)
My sweet Hermanas! We have had the sweetest time together this week. So thankful for the Lord allowing us to be family!
Billy was asked to preach last night at another Independent Baptist Church across town (Aztec Baptist Church). At the end of the service the Pastor felt led to call another night service. So, tonite we’ll be at church and will be praying for the Lord to continue what He’s started. Pray for us and that the Lord will bring out some of the people. (if not all)
Our friends (Saul and Lisa) gave us a bag of yummy green chiles and they recommended we have them roasted (instead of doing it ourselves as it would take all day). So, here’s what they do…..
We had a good meeting at Bible Baptist Church in Aztec, NM. However please pray for their Pastor (Pastor Quinn) who did not make it but one night to the meeting due to a SEVERE medical issue. He was and is in so much pain and really needs our prayer. He is scheduled for surgery on the 10th to put in a pain blocker. Please pray for him. If you know of ANYONE who would love to move out here to help this man in ministry please let us know! It would be a great opportunity to serve the Lord here under this Pastor.
