off to Florida…pictures of friends!

We didn’t get to take a lot of pictures because of taking care of the trailer situation, but here are a few.  One HUGE surprise is that we parked our trailer near another trailer, but had no idea who it was…..then as we were hooking up…out walked my Pastor from my High School years and his wife, Pastor and Mrs. Hodges!  I was so excited to see them.  It has been YEARS!  They haven’t changed a bit and it was extrememly exciting to see them doing as they’ve always done (which had a great impact on me) is SERVING THE LORD!  They travel with the Fellowship Tract League (and the tracts are free).

Another blessing is to see friends from around the United States and fellowship with them over meals and sweet times.

off to Florida

We were excited about our trip to Florida to a Preacher’s Fellowship at Westgate Baptist Church, Tampa, FL.  However, on the way we’ve had 2 blowout tires that has cost over $800!  Not so much fun!  We did make it safe and are enjoying seeing friends that we haven’t seen in quite awhile and enjoying the preaching too!

off to Florida….surprises

Tried to surprise my sister today at work (in Ocala, FL) but the surprise was on us…she was sick and left 15 minutes before we got there.  We’ll try to see her on Thurs.  It was a sad day for me as I was really looking forward to seeing her!

off to Florida…Memorial Baptist, Ocala

We had the unique opportunity to park at Memorial Baptist Church in Ocala, FL for a couple of days while travelling through.  Billy’s family attended here under Pastor Mike West (who is still the Pastor) back in the late ’90’s early ‘00.  Pastor left for China the day that we arrived, but we were able to see others that are like family to us!  To top off the weekend, it was an honor for Billy to preach to the teen Sunday School class in the morning, then Sunday night as well.  We were blessed by being here again.  It was also a great privilege to have Billy’s Aunt Diana and Uncle Gary come.  It was so nice to sit with family in church! We don’t get to do that often, ya know?

off to Florida….Daytona

Um, Uncle Gary....can you see???
Um, Uncle Gary….can you see???

Our first stop to Florida was the Daytona 500 speed week.  We met up with Billy’s uncle who drove over with Mamaw!  Billy’s mom and Tiger stayed with us in our trailer (which we took with us to Daytona).  We had the best time travelling down in tandem and now enjoying our time with family!

Update on Mesa

Many of you have asked about Mesa!  She is doing well still.  There is a little drag in her back right leg still where the car hit her.  But other than that, she is doing extremely well!  Thanks for asking and keep praying for more recovery.  We continue to stretch and massage her leg and would like to see the nerve heal a little better.

Sunday with Dr. Phil Kidd

We had the great honor of going to Mount Zion Baptist Church on Sunday in Danielsville, GA (Pastor Douglas Duncan) where Dr. Phil Kidd was preaching in both services. Even though we weren’t feeling the best there was no way we would miss out on this honor of going to meeting with him! If you’ve read my testimony, you will remember that I got right with the Lord under Dr. Kidd’s preaching. I will forever be grateful to him for following the Lord’s leading and preaching what the Lord directs!2009 0142009 015

Loganville (sick!)

We really had a GREAT meeting in Loganville.  It was such an honor to be with this family that we are leaving feeling as if we are a part of them!  About mid-week, I really got sick with the flu.  Billy was sick also, but was able to attend the meetings and preached all the way through.  We went to the Dr. following the meeting and they seemed to think we had the H1N1 virus.  It has really taken a toll on us as it has filtered into this week as well.  We are doing a bit better, but wow, it’s been quite the recovery.
